Ohmigod was this book so freaking cute! I mean it was so sweet, there were times my teeth were hurting. And while not every joke landed, I found myself laughing and having a lot of fun with these characters.Diego and Fitch's chemistry felt real and natural, the smut was off-the-charts hot, and the Kink was beautifully executed. It's so nice to finally see a relationship between sadist and a masochist portrayed in a loving and SSC way. There's also a seamless transition into Daddy/ little that wasn't at all cringy. Seriously, THIS is how you show regression or have baby talk and it not be weird. I adored all of our side characters. The story was just superb in so many ways.But... as much as I love this story (to the point where I've already pre-ordered Skyler Snow's next book) I have to be fair. This book wasn't perfect.There were a lot of technical issues with the writing. I don't know what the editing process was like, but it makes me think that it wasn't as rigorous as it should have been. There were instances where we weren't given enough directions and it was kind of hard to follow what was happening in a scene. At the same time, some sentences were so wordy you have to decipher what they were saying. It didn't 100% take me out of the reading experience but it happened often. There were mixed up conjunctions and preposition issues. This weird three paragraphs that were magically in third person while the entire story was in first. It wasn't a mess, far from it. It's clear a lot of thought and time went into the story. It just needs some cleanup.For me, most of the above is forgivable, I love the book that much but I do have one complaint. There was a thriller/ mystery element to this book and if you've read enough romances, by chapter 2 you know what's going to go down. Anyways, it happens and the reveal was...one that we didn't know was an option. That is one of my least favorite things to see in a book. I like when I the reader can try to solve crime with characters. Don't spoon feed me but drop a hint here and there so I can figure it out too. And with the explanation we were given, this wasn't happy hard to do. A couple sentences here and there, quick scene would have done the trick. I know this is a personal problem but it bothers me a lot okay. I get not wanting to give the big climax of your story away but come on. This wasn't fun either.Anyways, I still highly recommend this book for the relationship alone. It was done so well and again Diego and Finch are just perfect. I even loved how growly and possessive Diego was, and the is saying something coming from me. 4 stars because while it needs a tune-up, the journey is so worth it. Seriously, little Fitch, cutest thing ever. Fitch's needs are unique and he never found a match. But with the help of the Santa letter suddenly Diego is there. While their kink can be harsh the underlying care is very evident. Loved how these men fit together and how perfectly Diego meets all of Fitch's needs.
